Child Safety Standards — Anonymous Chat: Stranger Connect
Our commitment
Anonymous Chat: Stranger Connect is an adults-only (18+) service. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) in any form. This page describes the standards we enforce and how we enforce them.
Prohibited without exception
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) — creating, sharing, requesting, or linking to it, in any form, including AI-generated imagery.
- Sexual solicitation of minors, grooming, or sextortion.
- Any attempt by a person under 18 to use the service, or by any user to arrange contact with a minor.
How we keep minors off the platform
- The app is published with an adults-only store rating (18+).
- Every user must pass a date-of-birth age gate before an account can be created. Under-18 entries are refused and no account or data is created.
- Accounts identified as belonging to minors are terminated immediately.
Detection and moderation
- Every shared image passes automated CSAM detection (hash-matching against known-CSAM databases) and nudity classification before delivery — content is never delivered first and checked later.
- Every message and every active chat carries a one-tap report control. Reports involving child safety are routed to a dedicated top-priority queue with a target response time of one hour.
- Reported evidence is preserved at the moment of reporting, before any scheduled content deletion, so investigations are never impeded by the app's ephemeral-chat design.
Enforcement and escalation
- Confirmed CSAE content or behaviour results in an immediate and permanent ban — no warnings, no appeals for confirmed CSAM.
- Confirmed CSAM is reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) or the relevant regional authority, and content is preserved as required by applicable law (including 18 U.S.C. §2258A preservation obligations).
- We cooperate with law enforcement requests through [LEGAL CONTACT EMAIL].
Reporting
- In-app: long-press any message, or use the flag icon in any chat.
- Out of app: email [SAFETY CONTACT EMAIL] — include usernames and approximate time if possible.
- Anyone, including non-users, may report content or behaviour. Reporters remain anonymous to the person they report.
Compliance
We self-certify compliance with the Google Play Families / Child Safety policy requirements for social apps, maintain a designated Child Safety point of contact, and review these standards at least annually.
